When will your phone get the update to Android’s latest OS, the Nougat?

Currently, Android’s latest operating system, the Nougat, is available for recent Nexus devices of Google. But now when the final release is available other smartphone manufacturers may also get in for updates.
This time, unlike the Marshmallow update in 2015, Google launched a public beta program enabling anyone to sign up and speed up the process of reporting bugs, that could soon be fixed by Google.
In the meantime, the users not using the Nexus phones can prepare for the long hibernation and several search queries to check for the software update. Google launched the final version of Android 7.0 two days ago. Moreover, here is what is expected from different smartphone brands regarding updates.
Samsung
The Galaxy Note 7 will get the Android 7.0 software update within 2-3 months.
Moreover, it is also speculated that the company will roll out the update to S7 and S7 Edge.
LG Electronics
The current flagship device of LG is the G5 and it is likely to get the Android N update soon. G5 was part of LG Preview Program so it will not take much time to get the update. Another LG device in the list is the successor to the V10, the LG V20 which Google listed on its Nougat website and it declared that it will be the first out of the box device to get Android N. There is no official news about when will the G5 get the update, however it will certainly launch once LG V20 releases.
Sony
As far as Sony is concerned, the company has decided to release Android N for Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, Xperia X Performance, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium. However, the dates of the release of updates are not confirmed yet.
HTC
According to HTC, it will be rolling out Nougat to some supported phones in a period of 3 months. So it is expected that some of the company’s phones will get the software update by November 20. The devices expected to get the update are HTC 10, M9 and the A9.
Motorola
In India, Motorola has a vast selection of feature phones and a plus point is this that Motorola’s software are least affected by bloatware. We can expect that some of its devices will upgrade to Android Nougat, however, that is not confirmed officially.
Huawei
Although, the company has not confirmed update for any of its devices yet, however, it is likely that by the end of this year, Huawei P9 camera smartphone will get the Android N update.
