5 Tips to Optimize Your Condo’s Wi-Fi Internet
by ago0

Is your Wi-Fi acting up or are you encountering slow traffic and lag? Here are 5 tips you can use to optimize the internet you have in your condo.
Relocate the router
Put your router in a different location in your Upperhouse unit, because sometimes walls can absorb the signal the router emits, leading to a slower connection and lag. Other objects can interrupt internet connectivity like microwaves, Bluetooth speakers, and more. This requires a professional like a technician because this option needs rewiring to make it work.
Extend the reach of your router
If you don’t want to relocate the router, extending the reach may be your choice. Using ethernet cables can establish a secondary network for your Wi-Fi. Other options to extend the reach are Wi-Fi boosters, mesh systems, powerline adapters and more to establish a faster and stronger connection.
Update the firmware
Update your router’s firmware OS to the latest version to maximize your internet’s power and speed. Note that this does not happen 100% of the time, meaning some updates for the router’s firmware will potentially lead to more problems but this is a rare scenario, so updating it usually works.
On and off method
The standard turn it off and then back on method to see if it works is usually what is done first in troubleshooting. Establish a power cycle by resetting the modem or router, which can probably fix your connection problem. Try unplugging it and waiting for a few seconds then plugging it back in.
Time to upgrade
If everything else fails it might be time for an upgrade. Look for the best internet router and find the right specifications depending on your internet habits, how many you are in the house, and find an internet plan that accommodates everyone. This will lead to an obvious increase in your internet speed as you upgrade to a subscription with a higher mbps.
