People can do much more throughout the day if they have enough energy saved with a good night’s rest. However, it’s not that simple with work and too many distractions that can rob us of sleep. As you settle into your Norwood Grand condo, here are five tips to follow for better sleep.
Upgrade to New Pillows and Mattress
A good mattress serves as your base foundation for quality sleep. Most wouldn’t realize this until they’ve upgraded to a new one and immediately feel the difference. After all, lying on a lumpy bed isn’t as comfortable as a firm one that supports your back. The same goes for pillows, which can be replaced every year or so.
Reduce Tech and Unnatural Light
Too much blue light at night time can disrupt the body as it tries to settle down. Blue light can primarily be found on tech devices that have screens, such as laptops, tablets, TVs, and smartphones. Remember, a bedroom should only be used for resting and sleeping, and everything else is unnecessary.
Set a Comfortable Temperature
Comfort plays an important role in sleep. Now that we’ve covered pillows and a good mattress, the next element is the room temperature. Keep it nice and cool so that the environment is conducive for sleeping. Not too hot, or else you’ll be turning on your bed ever so often instead of catching z’s.
Reduce Noise
Reduce noise levels by turning off electronics and putting up blackout curtains on your windows.
Don’t Nap If Not Needed
The bottom line is that you shouldn’t take a nap if it’s not needed. Let your energy wane as the day goes by, so you’ll be properly tired when it’s time to sleep. Too much napping can reverse your biological clock and you’d rest later than normal.
