Reflecting on New Years Resolutions 3 Months In

It’s already been three months into the new year, and it’s time for me to reflect on my progress with my New Year’s resolutions. I set out to make some positive changes in my life and see where I stand now.

Exercise and Healthy Lifestyle

I’ve been making a conscious effort to prioritize my health and fitness, and the results have been truly incredible. Every day, I hit the gym and participate in a variety of physical activities, from weightlifting to cardio. I’ve also been paying close attention to my diet, and I’ve made a concerted effort to incorporate more nutritious, whole foods into my meals. The positive changes I’ve seen in my body and mind are evidence that my hard work is paying off.

Not only do I have more energy and a clearer mind, but I’m also starting to see the physical changes I’ve been working towards. My clothes are fitting better, I have a more toned physique, and I’m sleeping better at night. All these changes are a direct result of my commitment to living a healthier lifestyle. I’m so proud of the progress I’ve made so far, and I’m motivated to continue down this path for the rest of the year!

Reducing Debt and Saving Money

This has been a journey for me, but I am proud of the progress I have made so far. I have been consciously trying to reduce my spending on non-essentials and finding smart ways to save money. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much I’ve been able to cut back without sacrificing much in terms of my quality of life. Although I still have a long way to go, I am confident that I will reach my financial goals with persistence and determination. I have also been keeping track of my spending and budgeting my money more effectively, which has been helping me stay on track. The journey to financial stability is a slow one, but I am grateful for every step forward I take.

Refreshing My Appearance

I have always been conscious of my appearance, but this year I made it a priority to refresh my look. I started by trying out a new hairstyle and investing in a new wardrobe. I felt more confident and stylish, but I still felt like something was missing. That’s when I made the decision to consider a facelift. The pesky wrinkles and saggy skin that used to bother me, are a mere memory of the past now, and I’ve never felt better about my appearance! Looking in the mirror, now, I look and feel a lot younger than before!

Quality Time with Loved Ones

This year, I made it a priority to strengthen my relationships with the people I love the most. I realized that life is short and that I wanted to make the most of every moment I have with those who matter most to me. To that end, I have been putting in extra effort to spend more quality time with my family and friends.

We have been trying new things together, from cooking classes to weekend getaways, and I have to say, it has been a true joy. Seeing the smiles on their faces and the memories we are making together is priceless. Whether it’s playing a game of cards on a lazy Sunday afternoon, or hiking in a nearby park, I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with those I love. This resolution has been one of the most rewarding for me so far!

Unfortunately, I have also fallen short on a few of my resolutions.

Reducing Stress

As someone who has always been a high-achiever, I know the importance of taking care of my mental health and reducing stress in my life. However, this resolution has been a bit more challenging for me. Despite my efforts to improve my work-life balance, I have been feeling more stressed than ever. I have been exploring different methods to manage my stress, such as mindfulness meditation, yoga, and therapy. I am also trying to prioritize my downtime, and make sure I am taking the time to relax and recharge. I understand that this is a journey, not a destination, and I am committed to finding the right balance for me. Whether it’s through therapy or simply taking a long walk-in nature, I am determined to reduce my stress levels and improve my overall well-being.

Traveling

I had high hopes for traveling to new and exotic destinations this year, but unfortunately, the ongoing pandemic has made that impossible. Despite the setbacks, I remain optimistic and hopeful that I will be able to travel safely soon. In the meantime, I am keeping my wanderlust alive by researching new destinations, reading travel blogs, and even taking virtual tours of far-off places. I know that when the time is right, I will be ready to jump on a plane and explore the world again. Until then, I will continue to daydream about all the amazing adventures that await me and make plans.
