Xiaomi Redmi 4 spotted on Chinese Certification site Tenaa

The Chinese company Xiaomi is planning to release its Xiaomi Redmi 4 in the upcoming week, but before it is launched there are plenty of leaks about the phone. Recently the phone was being spotted on Chinese certification site Tenaa and the documentation contains all the information about the phone specs.

Tenaa does not openly points that the listed phone is the Redmi 4, but the revealed specs overlap with the past leaks. This gives us clues that the recorded device number 2016060 might be Redmi 4.

The rumours reveals that the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will run on Android 6.0 marshmallow on top of which MIUI layer will be implemented. The screen will be a 5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080), will be powered by a 2 GHz Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor with Adreno 506 GPU. Phone will come in two storage options 2GB RAM coupled with 16GB of ROM while the other variant will feature 3GB RAM and will pack 32GB of on board storage. Luckily micro SD expansion will be available.

In the camera department the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will feature a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front facing camera. It will pack enough battery juice like 4000 mAh, a biometric scanner and infrared sensor. The form factor is somewhat like 141.3×69.6×8.9mm, and will weigh like 160 grams. Under the hood it has VoLTE 4G, 802.11ac Wi-Fi chip (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The expected colors will be Gold and Silver.

About pricing the Redmi 4 will be priced starting at CNY 699. The Chinese company will hold and event of August 25th to reveal this device officially. On 2nd of September they are planning to launch Mi Note 2 with a dual lens setup, dual edge curved display along with 64GB and 128GB storage options. Mi Note 2 will priced around CNY 2,499 and CNY 2,799 respectively.
