The container ship Eilbek got cargo shift in a storm off Kiel, Denmark. Some of the cargo in containers shifted and vessel received big list to starboard. The accident happened in a gale with strong wind and large waves, during a voyage from Rotterdam via Antwerp to St Petersburg, Russia in North Sea. The ship was forced to enter in East Shore Port of Kiel, where the cargo was re-stowed. There is no cargo loss during the shift and no damages of the vessel’s hull. Also there are no injured people during the accident. The cargo shift created list to starboard of over 10 degrees, which seriously scared the officers, as the weather in North and Baltic Sea is unpredictable and the gales are strong.
